These days, mobile engineers are working on apps which are increasing in complexity and requiring special solutions for specific functionalities for which there is no cookie-cutter architecture to support. In this talk, I'll be discusing how we came up with our own custom architecture solution to cater towards our app's needs instead of shoehorning in an off-the-shelf industry standard.

AltConf is a community-driven event, assembled to serve developers and a product driven community. Held in downtown San Jose at the San Jose Marriott with 900 seats spread over 2 theatres. AltConf is an annual event timed alongside Apple‘s WWDC.

AltConf will be hosted next door to WWDC, with a direct connection between the San Jose Marriott and the San Jose Convention Center as well as an entrance beside the WWDC entrance, we've never been in a better position to bring an amazing conference to the community!

Playgrounds is an independent and inclusive conference dedicated to Swift and Apple platform developers.

Our aim is simple - to bring the brightest and most influential members from the community together to discuss ideas, share in knowledge and make lasting connections.

try! Swift

With the upcoming release of the third major version of Swift, massive improvements are coming to the language and we are beginning to see the chains being broken on some of the shackles of Objective-C’s legacy. However a lot of these improvements still rely on “Stringly typed” APIs which have the potential to trip us up when developing apps.

This talk from try! Swift will look into how we can avoid using these APIs by replacing them with alternatives that make our code more readable, safer, intentional, and Swifty.
